Tillandsia Brachycaulos

Plant Story

The Brachycaulos is part of a large group of plants in the Tillandisa family with hundreds of different species native to various regions and climates throughout the world. Air plants absorb nutrients and moisture through their leaves and use their small roots to attach to other plants and surfaces rather than rooting in soil. Air plants come in all shapes and sizes and are easy to maintain.

Display in a bright area with filtered sunlight.

Approximately once a week, mist the leaves with water at an angle to avoid water getting trapped at its base.

Air plants tolerate a wide range of temperatures from 50-90F. Do not allow them to freeze and keep away from air conditioning and heating vents.

Add a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer to your water at 1/4 recommended strength and mist the plant once every other month during the warm growing seasons.
