Nephrolepis Cordifolia ‘Duffii‘, better known as Lemon Button Fern, is native to the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. Lemon Button Fern is a small variety of Boston Fern and is known for its round leaflets that look like small buttons which give off a faint lemon scent, hence its common name. Lemon Button Ferns are a popular choice because its an easy houseplant to maintain and its small size allows it to be placed most anywhere.


They grow best in medium indirect light, but can live in bright or low light conditions when given the chance to adjust.


Water weekly. Soil should be kept slightly damp to the touch, but never soggy.


Ferns prefer temperatures of 65⁰ to 85⁰.


A very light feeder, apply a balanced fertilizer at half strength every 1 - 3 months during the growing season.
